I've got some making up to do! I spent a lot of time blogging on CCM Links about free mp3's, and putting off doing album reviews. Well, no more.

Thanks to all of you who have sent music for me to review. I'm both honored and humbled, and you've had precious little to show for your efforts. I'm not exactly sure how I want to do album reviews, which is part of the reason that I put them off almost indefinitely. I want to be honest about each album, but I also want to be encouraging to each artist. If God has called someone to music ministry, I don't want to discourage them by trashing their work...I'd much rather provide constructive criticism.

Trouble is, I'm not a professional musician or a professional songwriter. I just love music, and especially love Christian music. I'll do my very best to give every album a fair shake, and to provide some challenging feedback on what might need improvement.

First up: Undertow by Jeremy Cotter. Jeremy: please accept my virtually worthless apology for sitting on your album for so long. I've listened to it probably 30 times, but didn't know how to proceed without hurting an artist's feelings...or, even worse, being considered a shill for being too kind.
